The word "Genesis" means beginning. It's a very good place to start! Genesis covers the creation of the universe, the solar system, the plants, animals, and man. It also covers the institution of the Sabbath as the day which God set aside as holy. We learn about Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, Esau and Jacob, Rachel and Leah, and Jacob's twelve sons, including Joseph. Genesis shows God's personal involvement with individuals who walked with Him. It showcases their faith and their foibles, their walk and their waverings, their persistence and their pride. Yes, indeed, Genesis is a great place to start as we too seek to walk closer to the Great God of the Universe.
Under the Genesis tab you'll find three subtabs: devotions, activities, and resources specific to Genesis. Enjoy!
