4. Crayons - to share creatively with others: Each should use whatever gift he has received to serve others. 1 Peter 4:10
5. An inquisitive mind - to never stop learning: Continue in what you have learned. 2 Timothy 3:14
6. Healthy snacks - to stay strong and fit: When you open your hands, they are satisfied with good things. Psalm 104:28
7. Pencil and paper - to communicate something important: Write what you see . . . Habakkuk 2:2
8. Friends - for advice and companionship: A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17
9. Glue - to remind you that God sticks around: Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I got up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me,your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:7-10
You thought I was talking about back-to-school for the kids, didn't you?! The reality is that, as we approach the fall holy days, especially the Day of Atonement, it would be good for us to reevaluate our lives, our walk with our God, and recommit ourselves to being wholly devoted to Him. We must submit to the discipline of schooling, learning through the power of the Holy Spirit, to more completely become disciples of Christ.
