Now there’s two ways to look at this event:
“Oh, bummer! The school bus caught on fire.” (I’m speaking truly as an adult would say this, not as one of the kids who is talking tongue-in-cheek.)
Or . . .
“Wow! Thankfully Dad was standing there or all the buses and the bus barn could have burned down. Or imagine what would have happened if the bus had caught on fire when there were kids on it!! What a blessing from God!”
This is an easy one. We stand back and praise God that He was taking care of the kids. His hand was involved in Dad not leaving the bus yard earlier - his still being there so the buses could be saved. The results could have been so different!!
How often do you look at events with an awareness of God’s provision? Do you see the traffic as a nuisance or a way for God to keep you from an accident further up the road? Do you see needed car repairs as a downer or as God’s way of drawing a more serious problem to the attention of the technician?
I hope you train yourself to see the blessings that God sends our way - even when we aren’t aware of what they could possibly be! Maybe God will tell us when we get to His kingdom!
